Here are a couple of pics from Wimbledon. We saw Nadal versus Söderling. Well we saw some of it as there were plenty of rain delays. The match did not finish and had to be completed the following days. But it was a great match to watch and went to 5 sets with Nadal eventually winning 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 4-6, 7-5.

Paris - Day 3 - 21 June 2007
More of the Eiffel Tower, this time from within. We took the north pillar lift up to the second level. That was a scary ride seeing the ground disappear and no visible means of support. Did I mention that I'm not so good with heights!!! Once on the second level we stepped out and took some photos of a very impressive Paris. Next was the brave step to take another lift up to the very top. Now that was even scarier a ride. I was near the door and dreaded it opening but to my surprise it was like stepping into a room. It was totally enclosed, whew, thank god for that!!! There was another level to go up on in the open air which had a fantastic view as you could imagine. The ride down was very satisfying :)
Next we went to Notre Dame which was great but not as impressive as the tower. It just felt wrong to me. A belated trip to the Louvre saw us miss buying tickets but the outside was very very impressive indeed. It was quite awesome.
This was our last night in Paris as we had to catch a very early train to St Malo in the morning.
21 June is the music festival in Paris. There were bands playing everywhere, and I mean everywhere. We had a very nice meal in a restaurant and then headed back to Notre Dame where we were told there was to be fireworks at midnight. There were people everywhere and all quite rowdy. It felt like new years eve. Sadly there were no fireworks so we headed back home around 12:30ish for our early morning train.

Paris - Day 2 - 20 June 2007
Day 2 was spent at the Arc de Triomphe and touring around Paris in a open topped double decker bus. We also had had plenty to eat in various places :) Later that night we did a dinner and show at the Moulin Rouge. Now I have to watch the dvd again and check out the details. Though we found the show a little disappointing (too high tech and too little cancan) it was still enjoyable and a highlight of Paris.
